Canada, pies and a baby

Some stuff from the last week:

Jack with big shoes and no pants.

Everything is bare. This was a lush forrest a few weeks ago.

Finch getting clean for his first international trip.

You can buy Alpacas off the Interstate.

Chuckanut!

Me and dogface. The sun was in my eyes, but they're open I swear.

Melissa tried for ages to get a decent photo of Mt.Baker -  maybe next time.

This was from a week ago - we went to an event called 'Pies for Pugs'.  A pie sale to raise money for the rescue Finch came from.

We're dog/house sitting for the rest of the week. I'll update when I have a chance.  Happy holiday...

Portland weekend

We went to Portland last weekend to visit Jeff & Natalie.

Finch mellow...

Finch berserk.

We had lunch at a cool bar. Jeff ordered a coffee drink that gets lit on fire.

This is the hallway of the Kennedy school. It's an old school house turned into a bunch of bars, a theater and a hotel. The guest rooms are the old classrooms and the bars are made out of the boiler room, detention room, closets, etc.

This is what the place used to look like.

This is in the boiler room.

The next morning, Jeff made breakfast while we watched a little Supreme Master Ching Hai...

and infomercials on an amazing new girdle.

The shores of the mighty Colombia river.

The dogs took off down the beach.  Jeff and I running after them (of course, Finch is the farthest away).

Maurice's first time in the water.

Me and dude.

Dogs.

There's a lot of stuff you can't do at this beach.

We're going back up to Vancouver this weekend,  and should have lots to post.

Rain BBQ

We got some nice pieces of halibut last week.

Rain BBQ!

Finch waiting for scraps to fall

We listened to some records too.

Random

stuff I saw walking yesterday.

There's an abandoned neighborhood in discovery park that used to be military housing. Walking around the empty streets reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode. Super long bus bench.

Electric green moss.

Fremont

Some shots from walking around Fremont and the locks today...
