Mad Fun!

Today Jeff and I had lunch in the international district and we had...

but be careful because

Happy Birthday Sissy!!!

Today is my beautiful sister's birthday. She is somewhere in Europe today and, hopefully, only mildly intoxicated while surrounded by a gaggle of wonderful and interesting people who will be generous enough to buy her drinks and food as, by this time, she will have likely spent all of her money on several pairs of outrageously expensive, fine Italian shoes and a couple of handbags.

Happy birthday Shelly. I love you very, very much.

Fancy Balero!

John, Jeff and all balero fans - have you guys seen this solid silver balero on the web for $330??? Completely crazy. Still trying to find the jewel-encrusted, solid gold model.

Bill & Josh

Hung out with a couple of friends from California this week:

This is Bill. He's an Art Director I worked with at Rubin Postaer in Santa Monica. He and his family moved up here about 3 years ago. It was really good talking to him because he was in my shoes exactly and can relate to what we're going through.

And this is our good friend Joshua. He's comes to Seattle a lot for business. He had just flown in from Long Beach, worked a full day and came by our house to visit.

The pub by our house has darts, star wars trivia night and foosball - this place just keeps getting better!

Josh was also really impressed with the gigantic urinal!

We spent too much time visiting, and the only restaurant still open was this expensive, semi-cruddy fish chain down the street. Next time you're here, we'll go somewhere better (or BBQ!).

Memorial Day weekend, ch. 2

After the locks, Jeff convinced us that chili dogs were a good idea for dinner. He was right!

Somehow, he ended up on the floor. I'm not sure what happened here.

Timber's stomach was upset, so they're giving her Pepto-Bismol.

We had a great time visiting. Next time it's our turn to drive to Portland.
(John Synco, notice the balero action!)

After Jeff & Natalie left, we had beers and wings at the pub down the street. It was really nice out, so we sat on the patio for hours.

Then went home for...

More BBQ!

Monday morning, Melissa took me to a really cool restaurant on Queen Ann that's in an old victorian style house. Check out that cool brick church in the background.

Then off to the zoo.

It has Melissa's hair color exactly...

I never realized how dangerous the zoo can be

We finally got sick of BBQ, so Melissa made her chicken soup. The best batch she's ever made.

That's all for now. Will try to stay more up-to-date with the posts...

Memorial Day weekend, ch. 1

Jeff & Natalie came down from Portland for a visit, but before they arrived I had lunch with Jeffrey.

Jeff, Natalie and Timber shortly after pulling up.

Homemade croutons

They brought up a great cut of meat that I've never heard of and we had a BBQ.

Jeff had to blow up their mattress from the car cigarette lighter.

After dinner, we walked down to the locks. It was a little farther than I remembered.

Next morning brunch at Maggie Bluffs. Look at the photo of Melissa - you can see downtown over her shoulder. The views from this place are incredible. And the weather was amazing.

Then we went downtown to the Pike Market. Total mad house...

Stopped at a bar downtown and sat out on the sidewalk. Very European!

Magnolia park. We thought about BBQing in the park, but were too lazy...

The locks during the day. Jeff & Natalie are in the middle.
More to come...
