Mike & Marge go to Washington

Last week, Melissa's parents came to visit. We did so much during their trip, there's no way I could post it all.  Here are some highlights:

I've driven by this building several times a week for the last 4 months and never noticed it until now.

Welcome to Seattle!

Had dinner the first night at Fisherman's Terminal. Mike in front of the marina.

We saw a giant shoe collection at Pike Place Market. The picture of the world's tallest man is actual size - 8' 11.1"

"That's my baby!"

Went to the locks the next day, and I got uncomfortably sunburned.

The Museum of Flight has an SR-71 Blackbird (in the middle). It flew from LA to NY in 63 minutes.

Father, daughter and a one-man, flying rocket sled.

Rocket sled is go!

Look at the symmetry.

We toured a Concorde. It's not that cool inside, so I won't post photos.

That's the Air Force One that flew Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon. We toured it, but my camera died as soon as we boarded. It was really cool inside.

Had burgers, shakes and a car show at XXX Root Beer in Issaquah.

Coffin passenger seat and chrome skulls with glowing eyes for headlights.

While Melissa and her mom shopped, Finch and I took Mike to a huge dog park.

Finch, Mike and a german shepherd's butt.

Went to Dukes for lobster chowder (thanks to John & Tricia for showing us this place).

On their last night we hung out at our local bar. Finch even joined the action.

We loved having you two here - come back as soon as you can so we can ride the Duck Boats!!

they loved Duke's. They talked about the Lobster chowder the rest of the time they were here.

I've decided that the lobster chowder is too rich for me. While it tastes great going down, it tears my guts apart afterward...
