Mark & Meghan

Mark & Meghan came down for a visit from Vancouver this past weekend.

Before they arrived, Bill and Finch talked.

Finch and Cheddar playing. Finch was being a jerk to her all night.

After Mark & Meghan arrived, we BBQd. Didn't start the grill until 10:30 / 11, so it was a real late night.

Next day was pretty hot, so we went to the beach. Melissa and Finch exploring.

It took a while to get used to the water, but Finch finally went in. He seemed to liked it, because he went in a few times.

Kicking back.

We saw an unmarked, non-commercial jumbo jet being escorted by a jet fighter. Must be the president.

Then it was off to Seafood Festival in Ballard.

Mark and Gyro.

Melissa and I had those crab cakes in the background, and they were the worst I've ever had. Of all places in the world, you'd think they would be great.

Mark and fruit Sunday.

Melissa had crawfish chowder.

Then we hung out in the beer garden for a while. It was a really nice beer garden with waitresses and snacks and a view of the wacky entertainment.

This goldfish cracker was the best fish I had at the festival. Don't get me wrong, it was a lot of fun, just crappy food.

Beer tent!

Normally, Melissa and a giant fish are all I need for a great photo, but check out the lady to the left gazing seriously into his mouth.

Ended the night at the bar down the street listening to people across the street yell at each other.  Funny stuff seems to always happen when Mark & Meghan are around. Had a really good visit, come back soon!

How was the crawfish chowder?

Nothing compared to the Dutchess of Chowders.

It was pretty gross. I'm surprised Dean didn't get a shot of the almost full cup of chowder on top of the garbage can that was overflowing with loads of other half-eaten or almost full plates of food.
