the plants, the locks, & the wardrobe

Here's a bunch of stuff from the last few days.

This is the bridge from Ballard to our place. It raises, so you have to wait for the boats to pass.

Freemont.

These were the best steaks I've ever cooked. And below are our new house plants.

They really add a lot of life to the place.

Melissa doing dishes.

After dinner, we walked to the locks. This is where she waits for the bus in the morning.

I like that the space needle is everywhere you look.

Because we're so short on storage, we bought this deco-style wardrobe for Melissa's clothes. It's from an amazing, 3 story antique store downtown. We think it's from the 30's...

She loves the built in shoe rack. It's one of our favorite pieces of furniture. It's huge and I dread having to move it someday...

Sometimes when you and Jeff post new images I imagine one of two brain pictures. The first picture I imagine is everyone with thumbs in ears wiggling digits and protruding tongues. The second is everyone dangling their cities from thumbs and index fingers, calling and waving, enticing us to move quicker. We want to visit the 3 story antique building. Oh yeah, Melissa mentioned your anniversary will be around the time we arrive. Is it still OK that we stay with you two? We don't want to ruin any special plans. We fly in Monday, June 30 @ 9 a.m. Melissa can you take that Mon. or Tues. off? Dean, keep growing that beard, please. Enough banter.

p.s. Has balero fever died?

Of course it's okay! I knew that you were coming at that time and that it was also the anniversary. You guys visiting IS the special plan.

Geez! You so crazy sometimes!

No, balero is being played during the day when the wife is at work. Had to trim the neck part of the beard - too scratchy. But the face part is still growing.
