A quick tour...

Okay, we got our cable and modem hooked up today, so we're back in action.

It's super beautiful today - about 70º, sunny and a light breeze. I wanted to show more photos of the house with art on the walls - it makes a huge difference. Once the couch, rug and coffee table are in, we're done.

I also shot some photos of the immediate neighborhood on my walk to the store...

The view out our living room window. The front yard is pretty cruddy (all rocks and crappy bushes). We definitely have the dumpiest looking house on the block (but it's nice inside).

A better view of the outside. The house elevated about 6-7 feet from the sidewalk, so you have to walk up those stair at the right.

This is looking left from our house (the red between the trees at the end of the street is a train driving by).

Trains!

This is the path to the grocery store about 4 blocks away.

About 3 blocks from our house is the neighborhood pub. It's an Irish style place, like the Auld Dubliner in LB, only older and darker inside. They serve good food, have a fireplace, a cool up stairs lounge and outside seating on nice days like today.

The walk home from the pub.

Round the corner, and we're back on our street. We're at the tall tree towards the end of the block. I love all the red trees mixed with really bright green grass/bushes.

Our storage fiasco.

And here's our little yard / BBQ area. Small, but comfortable.

I'm thinking of walking over to the Ballard Locks in a bit. I want to get our new printer up and running first, so we'll see if I have time. If not, maybe I can drag Melissa out on a walk when she's home from work...

Nice post! The house looks great. Can you ollie those steps? You can walk to the Ballard Locks? How far is it?

It's 1.3 miles to the locks, totally walkable. I can't ollie the steps. Don't even know if you can ride a skateboard on the walkway - it's chunky rocks.
