That square in the wood is filled with horse hair! It used to be a floor heater, and that's how they would fill holes before putting carpet down.
The wood looks amazing. I wish Melissa and I did this years ago.
They're doing a lot of work to the place - cleaning, plastering, painting, etc.
My mom put new awnings on her house. Perfect choice, they look great.
She's having her floors done too.
